Kicking things off in early 2006, Made In China was formed when one member walked into a well known musical retail outlet in pursuit of starting a hobby that would add some character to his life. What soon followed was more than he bargained for as the other members joined forces to start what become one of the most influential indie pop rock sounds on the South African Johannesburg music scene.

One year into the band’s career, Made In China hit the streets making their debut appearance at the prestigious “Blues Room” that left audiences in applause as their acoustic indie rock sound got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor moving and shaking until the early hours of the morning.

A year later they released their debut album "Try a little decency" in December 2008.

All good things must come to an end, but what a time it was.
